The mission of Salon Bronze is to provide tanning clients with a clean and friendly environment with the best tanning equipment and a knowledgeable staff. To make tanning as convenient as possible for clients, the salons are open seven days a week.
Each location offers a variety of different tanning units, including lay down beds and stand ups, to accommodate their clients’ skin type and tanning needs. Also available is Versa Spa spray tanning. This is a voice guided system that sprays self tanner evenly to give an immediate, beautiful tan. “It’s easy to use and is great for a quick tan or for people who do not want to use conventional tanning beds,” explains owner Jason Belon. A large line of indoor tanning lotions and after tan lotions is also available. The staff at Salon Bronze is well trained so that they can answer client questions regarding tanning and skin care. “It is very important that we educate everyone on the benefits of moderate UV exposure,” says Belon.

Redesigning jewelry is a specialty at Feldman Design Fine Jewelry. Gemstones can be reset into a new design, changed from gold to platinum or combined with other pieces no longer used. In addition to revitalizing outdated pieces, Feldman’s also restores antique and period pieces, so handed-down family heirlooms can be worn and enjoyed.
Established in 1988, Feldman Design Fine Jewelry provides exceptional master craftsmanship, national award winning design and goldsmith services. Feldman’s offers complete repair service, ring sizing, prong re-tipping, chain and clasp repairs, pearl cleaning and restringing, gemstone replacement and appraisal services. Customers can select from an extensive collection in platinum, gold and silver, featuring unique designs with fine colored gemstones, diamonds and pearls in a variety of colors and shapes. The shop also purchases gold and unwanted jewelry. Feldman’s is committed to providing excellent customer service. Says owner Karen Feldman, “We love to make jewelry and pride ourselves on customer satisfaction.”

Pharo Garden Center
4505 Easton Avenue | Bethlehem, PA 18020 | 610-866-0246
Founded nearly 100 years ago by Merritt Pharo, Pharo Garden Center is the oldest garden center in Bethlehem. Dale Pharo inherited the Center after the sudden death of his father and Raymond Steidinger, the current owner, purchased the business in 1976 and moved it to its present location in 1981. Pharo’s is a “green” resource for sustainable gardening, offering organic fertilizers, insecticides and fungicides, plants, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and garden vegetables. The knowledgeable staff at Pharo’s takes the time to discuss and explain the benefits of their products. According to Victoria Leister, PCH (Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist) “understanding the “why” and “how to” of their purchases makes customers much more likely to succeed as gardeners.”
From mid-November through the entire holiday season, the Christmas Shoppe at Pharo offers Frasier Fir trees, Poinsettias and Christmas Cactus. The garden center makes its own cemetery blankets, pillows, logs and boxes and sells a large variety of ornaments, German wood figurines, smokers and window arches. Available collectibles include Byers’ Choice Carolers, Pipka Santas and Baldwin Brass. The 19th Annual Christmas Shoppe Open House, complete with homemade cookies and cider, will once again be held over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Saylor’s & Co.
1105 Main Street | Hellertown, PA 18055 | 610-838-6363 | saylorsandco.com
In the 1930s, Sam Saylor had to find a way to feed his family after Campbell’s Soup relocated to New Jersey. Saylor, a tomato farmer, started butchering pigs and selling them from a small barn on his farm in Springtown. Looking to expand his business, Sam rented a spot at the Allentown Farmers Market, where his business thrived for the next 40 years, when he then turned the business over to his daughter and son-in-law. Donald and Elaine Mease continued to run the family business, adding beef, chicken, eggs and produce grown by the family. In 2003 Donald handed the business to his son Tim with hopes that the Saylor name would live on. The third-generation family business, with a rich history of hard work, an entrepreneurial spirit and high quality products, was reinvented as Saylor’s & Co. Tim and his wife, Maria, run the business and strive every day to “bring the best quality of food to your dining table.”
This unique market offers high quality cuts of beef, pork, chicken and veal along with prepared meals, oils, vinegars, pastas, baked goods and more. Processed favorites like ring bologna, hot dogs, bacon, sausage, smoked chicken and turkey, ham, bratwurst, kielbasa and scrapple are all made on site.
In addition to the Main Street Hellertown location, Saylor’s & Co. can be found May through November at the Saucon Valley Farmers Market on Sundays and the Steel Stacks Farmers Market on Tuesdays.
TC Dance Club International
6623 Sullivan Trail | Wind Gap, PA 18091 | 610-881-1000 | learnballroomlatin.com
If you have a wedding on your calendar, you’re looking for a new hobby or you simply want a venue to dance regularly and meet new people, TC Dance Club International is an option to explore. In 2004, Richard Sorger partnered with his studio supervisor, Lyn Olechnovich, and moved his established New Jersey studio to East Stroudsburg. Six years later the co-owners tripled the size of the studio by relocating again to the current location in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.
Independently owned and operated, TC Dance Club offers private and group lessons of all levels in ballroom, Latin and swing dance. According to co-owner Olechnovich, TC Dance Club International is a social studio, not a competition studio. “Most people want to learn to dance and have a good time, not compete on Dancing with the Stars,” says Olechnovich. In addition to lessons, the studio hosts dances two Saturdays a month and holds dinner dances off-site twice a year. The studio also partners with the Pocono Area Dance Association (PADA) by donating a lesson at their monthly dances from which proceeds benefit a different charitable organization each month. A full line of English made dance shoes is now available at the studio, which is open Monday through Saturday.
